ADCOLOR and ThePower To Do It

Marianne Williamson emphasized that “In every community, there’s work to be done. In every nation, there are wounds to heal. In every heart, there’s power to do it.” This sentiment was showcased vividly during our time at the 16th Annual ADCOLOR Conference and Awards. ADCOLOR champions diversity and inclusion within creative industries, helping individuals and organizations RISE UP while teaching new leaders and mentors of the industry how to REACH BACK and find others to provide opportunities and recognition. This conference has ignited our Digitas Unicorns along with so many others in this fight to create an inclusive and growing space for all. We are reminded that Equity is not extra credit and that we must continue to fuel diversity and inclusion in the work, while also being intentional about the inequities everyone faces. Reminding ourselves to give grace to one another but to also persevere and understand that small changes still lead to meaningful and impactful leaps in our agency journey.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is now reframed as JEDI: Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, underlying the importance of justice within the work that we do and re-emphasizing the importance of Equity within the DEI landscape. Our work is about storytelling, it’s imperative that we continue to learn and share about one another to move this agency and our entire industry forward into the change we all are striving for. While on this journey, we are reminded to celebrate one another, uplift one another (as we cannot do this work alone), and that everyone is responsible for justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion not just within Digitas but even beyond, impacting our industry and our society together.
As we continue to rise, we want to thank YOU for helping build our culture and continuing this learning and impactful journey together. We have come a very long way, but with your help we will go even further.
